About ISR
Founded in 1966, Infant Swimming Resource® is the global leader in the children's swim lesson industry, and sets the standard in survival based swim lessons for children ages 6 months to 6 years old.

Always putting safety first, ISR emphasizes competence, which leads to confidence, and provides the foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment in and around the water.

Our instructors undergo extensive training along with their hands on training, in several areas including, but not limited to:
Child Development

Common Medical Conditions

Instructors are also required to continue their education and re-certify every year. This ensures that you are getting the best of the best for your children. ISR instructors are fully insured and maintain active CPR/First aid certifications.

6 months+
As young as 6 months old, children who are able to sit independently, can learn to save themselves should they find themselves alone in a body of water. These students learn how to float independently, roll into a float from several different presentations, and make proper adjustments to maintain a floating position. We recommend children starting lessons at 6 months old. The Sooner, The Safer!
Lessons
12 months - 6 years
Once a child is 12 months old, walking, and meeting all necessary developmental milestones, they will learn the swim-float-swim sequence. These students learn to swim with their face down in the water, roll onto their backs to float, and flip over to resume swimming. They will learn to repeat this sequence as needed.
